Premarital Counselling

A Strong Foundation
Whether you’re actively preparing for tying the knot or at the early stages of considering this potential, having the right tools and preparation plays an important role in building a strong foundation for your marriage.
Premarital counselling at my practice provides personalized, one-on-one support. Drawing on my training and experience in relationship counselling, I will help you identify potential challenges and work with you to develop strategies to keep them from becoming obstacles in your relationship. I will also point out areas that may need extra care and offer practical tools to strengthen the way you connect and relate to one another.
First Steps
Premarital counselling typically involves about 6 to 8 sessions, though the exact number can vary based on your individual needs and the pace that feels right for you. Sessions often explore key areas such as expectations, family background, finances, leisure, and plans for children. A three-session introductory package is also available to help you begin exploring these important topics.
I use the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment (https://www.prepare-enrich.com/) to gain deeper insight into your relationship. This is a paid, self-guided questionnaire that each of you completes online and privately before your first session. Once completed, a report is generated and shared with me, which we can then use to guide our work together.
If you’re ready to get started—or if you’d like more information—I invite you to reach out and book a complimentary 30-minute introductory session.
